NAFA officially launches new facility to kick-start its 80th anniversary celebrations. The $40million building adds another 20 percent floor space to the campus. Tower Block sits above the Bencoolen MRT station, and took about two years to build. With a total floor area of 7,700 square metres, the new facility includes lecture rooms and studios for students. In his speech made at the event, Minister Ong Ye Kung urged Singaporeans to immerse themselves in the arts, and through it, gain insights into our history, culture and our humanity.

新加坡南洋艺术学院在80周年庆活动后将正式启动新设施。这座耗资4000万美元的建筑为校庆增加了20%的建筑面积。塔式大楼坐落在明古连街捷运站（地铁）上方，花了大约2年时间建成。这个新设施的总建筑面积为7,700平方米，其中包括为学生提供的教室和工作室。教育部长Ong Ye Kung在这次活动的演讲中，敦促新加坡人沉浸在自己的艺术氛围之中，通过她来了解新加坡的历史、文化和人性。
