In this workshop, percussionist-composer Sascia Pellegrini guided musicians and dancers in the exploration of musical action, environment, space and awareness of body, and interpersonal dynamics.
Participants were introduced to improvisation techniques through activities such as movement exercises without instruments, sonic meditation, group improvisation, and improvisation with printed words and graphical scores extracted from works by Stockhausen, Zorn, and Pellegrini. At the end of the workshop, musicians and dancers showcased their improvisation techniques in a combined performance.
