Commissioned by the National Arts Council, the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts is currently presenting an exhibition of the Cultural Medallion recipients “The Cultural Medallion and Visual Arts 1979-2015”. The exhibition presents 95 artworks by the 38 recipients of the national award conferred to visual artists. Every artist presents two or three pieces of work.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts’ Institute of Southsast Asian Arts published “Lives of the Artists - A Singapore Story: The Cultural Medallion and Visual Arts 1979-2015. The book chronicles artists’ work as well as the development and evolution of Singapore art.

 

经国家艺术委员会委托,南洋艺术学院举办了一个文化奖得主展览“文化奖视觉艺术1979 - 2015”。展览了38个奖项授予者的95件艺术品。

结合展览,南洋艺术学院的东南亚亚洲艺术研究所出版的《艺术家的生活——一个新加坡的故事:文化奖章和视觉艺术1979 - 2015》一书中记载了艺术家们的工作以及新加坡艺术的发展和演变。
